The FACJJ holds as many as four meetings per year. At least one meeting is in person and the other meetings are held as webinars. All FACJJ members are encouraged to participate, and the public is welcome to attend in person or watch online.

FACJJ Fall Meeting: October 23, 2006
The Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice (FACJJ) convened for its 2006 fall meeting at 800 a.m. on Monday, October 23 at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, SC. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and vote on the 2006 FACJJ reports to the President, Congress, and the Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), to nominate and elect the chair and vice chair for 2007, and to review the summary of State Advisory Groups' responses to the FACJJ 2006 Request for Information (RFI). The responses to the 2006 RFI will be used to prepare the 2007 annual recommendations reports. In addition, members broke into informal topical groups during lunch to share challenges, strategies, and solutions to a variety of issues. The three FACJJ subcommittees also met and reported out to the full FACJJ. Tuesday's half day of training focused on juvenile information sharing and juvenile XML (Extensible Markup Language) and on OJJDP tools and resources available to help states address disproportionate minority contact (DMC).

FACJJ Spring Meeting: May 8, 2006
The Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice (FACJJ) convened for its 2006 spring meeting at 830 a.m. on Monday, May 8 at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs, Washington, DC. The purpose of the meeting was to draft and discuss the 2006 FACJJ annual recommendations reports to the President, Congress, and the Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). Copies of the draft reports were e-mailed to FACJJ members April 28. Members broke into six groups to discuss a series of recommendations for the reports. The four FACJJ subcommittees also met during a working lunch and developed recommendations, which were later presented to and voted on by the full committee. Research experts discussed adolescent brain development and juvenile mental health issues and programs during a second half-day of training.

FACJJ Fall Meeting: October 24-25, 2005
The Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice (FACJJ) convened for its 2005 fall meeting at 830 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24 at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel, San Antonio, Texas. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss, refine and adopt or reject the final drafts of the 2005 FACJJ annual recommendations reports to the President, Congress, and to Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), and to draft a set of core values, which will define what FACJJ stands for and help in the development of the 2006 annual reports. The four FACJJ subcommittees also met during a working lunch and developed recommendations, which were later presented to and voted on by the full committee. A panel discussed illegal immigration and its impact on juvenile justice operations during a second half-day of training.
FACJJ Spring Meeting: May 16-18, 2005
The Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice (FACJJ) met May 16–18, 2005, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The meeting was called for by the full committee to discuss the first drafts of the 2005 annual reports, to the President, Congress, and the Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). The four FACJJ subcommittees, annual report, grants, legal affairs, and planning, also presented reports and recommendations to the full FACJJ. A resolution addressing pending Federal gang legislation was also discussed. A series of speakers and panels discussed Indian Country issues during a second half-day session of training.
FACJJ Third Meeting: December 9, 2004
On December 9, 2004, the Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice (FACJJ) held its third meeting in Washington, DC. The meeting was convened to confirm FACJJ's annual report to the President, Congress, and the OJJDP administrator regarding state perspectives on the operation of OJJDP and federal legislation pertaining to juvenile justice and delinquency prevention. Also confirmed at this meeting was the reorganization and report of the subcommittee's 2005 projections.
FACJJ Second Meeting: July 9-10, 2004
The Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice held its second meeting on July 9–10, 2004, in Denver, Colorado. The FACJJ Annual Report to the President and Congress regarding state perspectives on the operation of OJJDP and federal legislation pertaining to juvenile justice and delinquency prevention were discussed. The committee's Annual Report to the OJJDP Administrator, including specific functions of the Office, was also discussed.
